Pace Digitek: Bidadi Facility Production Capacity is 2.5 GWh
The new facility has a production capacity of 2.5 GWh annually, with scalability to 5 GWh, aimed at meeting the growing demand for energy storage solutions across residential, commercial, and utility-scale applications.
BESS technology enables efficient energy storage and distribution by capturing surplus power from solar and wind sources and releasing it during peak demand hours or low generation periods.
“The inauguration of our Bidadi facility is a defining moment in our growth journey,” said Maddisetty Venugopal Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, Pace Digitek.
“This plant positions Pace Digitek and Lineage Power at the forefront of India’s renewable energy push, delivering innovative and sustainable storage solutions.”

The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including:
- Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister for Consumer Affairs and Renewable Energy Systems
- K J George, Karnataka’s Energy Minister
- S R Mahesh, MLA, K R Nagar
- T D Rajagowda, Chairman, KREDL
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, who inaugurated the facility, highlighted the strategic importance of battery storage in achieving Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India): “Battery storage systems are critical to unlocking the full potential of solar and wind energy. With growing investor interest, this sector is set to transform how India manages and consumes electricity.”
Karnataka’s Energy Minister K J George emphasized the integration of BESS with solar power infrastructure: “All solar power plants in the state will soon be mandated to include battery storage systems capable of storing at least two hours’ worth of generation. This will ensure round-the-clock power availability and strengthen the state’s renewable energy foundation.”
With Karnataka deriving 65% of its total power from renewable sources, the integration of BESS will play a vital role in ensuring grid stability, efficient load balancing, and energy security.
The Pace Digitek BESS manufacturing facility will not only drive innovation and localized production but also play a crucial role in building India’s clean energy ecosystem and creating investment opportunities in the green tech sector.
